After a four-month absence, I'm back with the twelve with a new camera and a new laptop.  Yippee!!  Though, of course, this has to be one of the most boring days I've had recently.  I'm thankful our fearless leader, Chad Darnell, has decided to do another round of the 12.  You take 12 photos of your day on the 12th day of each month and share them via Chad's blog with people from all over the world.  It's a great way to connect with others everywhere!  We really are more similar than different no matter where we live.  Details are here.

Around 1 am uploading photos to my new computer.  It's so nice to have a computer that actually WORKS for a change!!!!

One of the biggest changes around here is getting a second kitty.  Princess Leia is suffering from separation anxiety due to her traumatic beginnings (poor baby!) so I am trying an experiment of having a companion for her.  I'm fostering Moby, a sweet tempered, mellow and ambient Russian Blue who is about 3 years old.  So far so good.  In fact, Leia has been the aggressor mostly, popping poor Moby in the face and chasing him.  I'll give it a couple more weeks to see if they warm up to each other.  Right now they're just tolerating each other.

2 am and time for bed!

Around 12 pm with the Princess, the Mighty Huntress.

The Mobester chillin'.

He is super handsome.

So, to recreate a photo from a past January 12, I looked back to 2009 and recreated this photo of my work buddy, David, who was game.

And he shot this repro one of me from January 2008.  I told you, super boring day.

At home.  My pedicure has had it.  I do have square feet!

Moby patiently waiting for Leia to finish her meal so he can have his after dinner treat.

He is the master of the "I'm so cute" look.

Leia washing up.

This 12 was a snooze but it's good to be back in the swing of things!

January 12, 2010

Ooooo...the Zippy blogosphere has been suffering! After a nice detour into a health issue, I am back, feeling lovely, and ready to begin this incredible new year with lots of excitement and anticipation.

In September, I became involved with Directing Actors Gym here in NYC and have attended several events. The next, featuring casting director Wendy Mckenzie, is on Sunday and should be awesome. I'm not performing, but there to observe, learn and cheer on my fellow actors. It should be an awesome time.

I had a new reel edited and it turned out wonderfully. Up on Actors Access and my website. I'm really happy with it.

I've been letting my hair grow again and am seesawing on whether to leave it or cut it again. If I leave it, I want to keep it a little shorter than it is right now, but I would need new headshots. Hmmmm.... My primary type is the intense, opinionated, strong woman and can work with shorter or shoulder length hair. I want to give this more thought.

I'm writing sporatically. I have been continuing my work on Penny Templeton's book, which should be done in the spring, and now that I have a new laptop that actually works, I hope to write a lot more at home on my screenplay.

2010 is movement. Riding the wave.
