February 12 of 12 Time!

Hello to all 12 of 12ers! I can't believe it's already February. I'm still stuck in November, I think....

For newbies to the 12 of 12, please check out Chad Darnell's website that gives the lowdown on his fab idea of monthly photo fun.

I've noticed how I feel my blogs have been really empty since Worf died. I miss seeing his furry face every month dominating my 12. I'm still beast-less at the moment. I know the right kitty will come waltzing into my life when I'm ready. It has always been that way.

So....onward to my day. It was a snooze (literally!) from my fantastic plane ride on January 12th.

Arriving home at around 12:15 am, I fired up a nice hot epsom salt bath with a couple drops of lavendar oil. With candles and some beautiful Native American-inspired music, I was all blissed out.

Ready for dreaming.........

Got up early (for me) at around 8:30 am and made myself some oatmeal with blueberries and a dash of honey.

Saddled up my winter boots to go to an audition today in Midtown. Regional Shakespeare fest. This is only the second time I've had to wear my winter boots this winter. Last year, I didn't wear them at all. The weather has been so weird. Anyhow, supposed to snow this afternoon, so I want to be prepared because I'll probably have to wait to get an audition time. EPAs....gotta love them.....somehow.....

After my audition - which was at 1:10 pm - yes, I sat there and waited. Read a book. Tried not to yawn too much. I'm off caffeine pretty much now, so just water for me. I was pleased with my audition. I used an old monologue for me, but I reworked it much differently. Got a nice reaction from the cd. Good for me!

It was just starting to snow - little flakes that didn't show up on camera. This is 8th Avenue looking downtown. That's my work building - the big phallic one. Perfect for my firm.

By the time I got home, the snow was coming down pretty fast and sticking to the street. It's very icy snow, not the nice fluffy stuff. Figures. Doesn't snow all winter really and then we get the sleety crap.

I was so exhausted from lack of sleep and sitting waiting in an overheated building for my audition that I decided to take a nap instead of going to acting class. I've been suffering from some kind of fatiguing thing for almost two months now. It's not a virus or anything like that. I'm seeing an acupuncturist on Thursday to hopefully get my chi going.

At work in one of my only refuges - the ladies. Sitting on a bench in there with my book, looking much chipper than I felt. I wish they'd put a couch in there, but instead we have this padded bench thing. Really, I wish we had an employee lounge, but we don't. Sometimes I sneak up to the 49th reception floor and hide on a couch up there. I decided to brave the cafeteria instead. Luckily it was quiet in there, too.

My luscious dinner. The obligatory food shot. Spinach lasagna. Wasn't too bad. For the cafeteria, that is.

Working hard or hardly working???? Writing a draft chapter for my acting teacher's book. This chapter is a bitch. We have a lot of material and I haven't been up to sorting it out and making it make sense with this fatigue thing. Makes my brain deadened. Not fun, but I'm making myself do it.

Wrapped up and ready to go home. Day is done.

The picture and desription of your office building was priceless. I wonder if the company I work for has an office there, too! Thanks for sharing your day and I hope you feel better. Go chi, go chi!

I hope you feel better soon - you're not anaemic, are you? That was my second thought (after glandular fever).

And good luck with the casting for the Shakespeare festival!

I'm sorry to read that you lost your cat, it is heartbreaking, but I'm sure the right cat will soon be in your life again.
I love your picture with the snowy street, it has a magical look. Wishing you success with your audition.
