February 12 of 12, 2009

It's February. Time of transition. The light is getting longer. The dark is being pushed back. And I had to take Leia to the vet. In the wind. On two busses. Blech. Anyway, she's going to be fine and I began my 12 around 12:30 pm because I couldn't handle being awake at 9 am, let alone functioning.....

I am forcing some sort of bulb flower. I think these are paper whites, but they could be mini-hyacynths. It'll be a surprise when they bloom!!! Got to get a bigger pot. It's nice to see green in the big grey city.

Speaking of grey, the sky was ominous but the wind was blowing so hard that it kicked the storm right out of NYC without rain.

Psycho kitty....what exactly is going on behind those wild eyes?

10 seconds later, the Princess is the picture of mellowness.

I have a bowl of small polished stones a dear friend gave me when I moved from Boulder back East. I love running my fingers through them and listening to the sound they make.

It's postcard follow-up time. I'm waiting to hear anything from the callback I had Tuesday night. By Friday, I'll know. I think my schedule will prove an issue against me being cast. All Equity but they want to rehearse weeknights. It just doesn't work.

My buddy, Buddha.

Amethyst is so gorgeous. *Sigh!*

The beautiful Princess Leia.

I am so glad I found her.

In the elevator lobby at work. They have these old Roman mosaics. This one is from Syria from the 2nd-3rd century. A fish motif.

My new friend. Elance. I'm going to be starting a writing business. May as well get paid for something I do well. Elance and Guru have been recommended to me as a good place to start.

Not an exciting day but a good one. I'm breathing, alive, happy. There's something to be said about that.
